SPI organised the event Global Opportunities – EU-China Science, Technology and Innovation Cooperation in Beijing, China

Sociedade Portuguesa de Inovação (SPI – www.spieurope.eu) organised, together with Haidian Science Park, China Science and Technology Exchange Centre (CSTEC) and Agency for the Promotion of European Research (APRE), the Global Opportunities – EU-China Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) Cooperation event, which took place on January 17th 2018 in Beijing, China. This event was organised within the DragonSTAR Plus project (http://www.dragon-star.eu/) – Horizon 2020.

The event focused on the current Horizon 2020 opportunities between EU and China, the application process of Chinese entities through the Co-Funding Mechanism (CFM) of the Ministry of Science and Technology (MoST), as well as some insights on the upcoming new Framework Programme 9. Furthermore, a Chinese organisation shared their experience in applying for the CFM in these bilateral opportunities and the new Centre of Excellence ENRICH in China was also presented.

More than 120 participants from different fields of activity attended the event, including Laurent Bochereau, Minister Counsellor, Head of Science, Technology and Environment Section, EU Delegation to China and Mongolia; Keqin Dong, Director of the European Division of CSTEC and also Marco Falzetti, Director of APRE.
