A non-exhaustive overview of joint research institutes and joint laboratories between European Union Member States and Associated Countries and China (based on information collected through the EU Delegation and EU Member States embassies in China, EURAXESS China and the Dragon STAR project), is published on-line at the EURAXESS-China website .

Please note that there are different definititions for a “Joint Research Strcuture”, thus some institutions might not be listed in this non-exhaustive list.

If you are interested in a quick overview of the Join Labs situation in China, and to get a non-exhaustive list of the  currently established joint labs, you can download this report produced in the context of the DRAGON-STAR, by the China-EU Center for Information & Communication Technologies in Agriculture (CICTA)/China Agricultural University (CAU).

The report also includes a number of case studies describing the current situation.

You can now download a handbook called “How to Establish a Europe-China Joint Research Structure”, published in November 2013.

Co-edited by the EU SME Centre, the IPR China SME Helpdesk, the EU Delegation to China and EURAXESS Links China this handbook aims to offer guidance on some of the practical steps to take and some of the key points to pay attention to when establishing and developing a Europe-Chinese joint research structure in China.
