On November 16, 2014, The 16th China High-tech Fair (CHTF) kicked off in Shenzhen. The fair themed on Innovation & Green Growth, and attracted over 100 delegations and over 3,000 exhibitors carrying over 10,000 products and projects from across 80 plus countries and regions for technology and business cooperation.
China Science and Technology Exchange Center (CSTEC) joined the EU Delegation in China in co-hosting an EU Booth in the exhibition area of CHTF. The booth displayed videos, gave out brochures and infographics, and took questions on research cooperation with EU including its Framework Programmes, mobility schemes and projects like DragonStar. 300 pieces of Horizon 2020 pocket guide in Chinese compiled by CSTEC were distributed to improve the awareness on Horizon 2020.
During the fair, CSTEC and the Delegation also co-held a Horizon 2020 info seminar to disseminate knowledge on how Chinese researchers could gain access to Horizon 2020 and the National Contact Point Helpdesk service. Mr. Christian de Lannoy, Consul General of Belgium in Guangzhou and Mr. Mattias Debroyer, Economic and Commercial Consul of Belgium in Shanghai attended the seminar.
