European Commission representatives and delegates from the EU–China DRAGON-STAR consortium gathered in the Dragon-Star kick of meeting that took place in the vibrant city of Beijing.
The International Cooperation project is coordinated by the Foundation for Research and Technology Hellas (Greece) and involves seven EU and four Chinese Research and Innovation Organisations, notably the China Science and Technology Exchange Centre (CECO/CSTEC) amongst others.
The project is funded under the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7-INCO-2012-2, GA309794).
Dragon-Star aims to support:
- The Chinese participation in Horizon 2020;
- The reciprocity originating from the signed EU-China Scientific Cooperation Agreement;
- The bilateral cooperation in scientific, technological and industrial research and innovation fields;
- The ongoing EU – China Innovation Cooperation Dialogue;
The foreseen work includes field studies and reports, information systemization, trainings for China’s National Contact Points, Joint Working Groups, creation of Joint Labs, etc.
All participants expressed their strong willingness to support actively the on-going and future bilateral initiatives and collaborative empowerment.
