The OpenChina Final Conference will take place on 5 November 2013 in Vilnius at the Radisson Blu Hotel Lietuva, i.e. the day before the launch of the European Commission’s ICT 2013 event.
The objective of this Final Conference is to bring together policy and research stakeholders from Europe and China, to present the project final results, assess new alternative or novel ways to promote scientific cooperation in ICT between the two regions and provide recommendations towards more effective funding and more fruitful cooperation programs.
Among the main outcomes of the OpenChina-ICT project to be presented:
- Experts interviews to identify current and emerging research topics and priorities,
- Dialogue Conference held in China in November 2012,
- European and Chinese Roadmap Surveys on ICT research environment,
- Thematic Workshops organised in China in May and August 2013,
- EU-China ICT Cooperation Plan.
Prior to the launch of the ICT 2013 event
ICT 2013 will feature top ICT professionals from industry, academia, research. Speakers from across the ICT sector will address a range of issues from cloud computing, broadband, ICT infrastructures, ICT skills, cyber security, long term visions on the future and much more. Experts will present details on how to participate in the next EU’s Research Programme – Horizon 2020.
ICT2013 will include a conference, an exhibition, networking sessions and an investment forum.
